A total of 670 children from 5 countries: Serbia, Bulgaria, Moldova, Macedonia and Ukraine, took part in the 22nd edition of the International Easter Festival for Children Bosilegrad, organised by the GLAS (Bulgarian word for “voice”) Association.
The festival was held with the support of Members of European Parliament from Bulgaria, Members of Bulgarian National Parliament, and dozens of contributors from Bulgaria and the region, including „Trace PZP Vranje“ LTD.
Andrey Nikolov from Belgrade became the festival winner. The 6-year-old boy outperformed as many as 550 contestants in an egg-cracking race and won a medal, cup, bicycle, Plasma Display Panel TV and other gift prizes. The fifth-grader Alex Stoynev from the primary school in the Bosilegrad’s village of Bistar ranked second. The medals and cups for the two third places were grabbed by the 12-year-old Tonya Toucan from Moldova and Milos Velickovic from Belgrade.
At the end of the Festival were announced the winners of the Best and Most Originally Decorated Easter Egg contest. The „Geo Milev“ primary school from Bulgaria’s town of Radnevo won the prize for the most original egg and the 10-year-old Anastasia Stancheva from the Republic of Moldova received treats and gift prizes for the best painted egg.
